We were a group of 8 adults and a dog.We loved the cottage and its garden we spent most evenings in the garden. Great location close to the town and river. The cottage was very comfortable. We would return.

The Cottage was the ideal size and layout for our group (2 grandparents, toddler grandson plus mum and dad, and solo adult son), and also ideally situated in the town centre, near all the shops and 'nooks and crannies' of Ross, but still just a short walk down to the Ropewalk park next to the river to exercise our dog. The Cottage was spotless, beautifully refurbished, and had everything on hand that we could possibly want, including a lovely welcome pack of local fare. Highly recommended!

What a fabulous cottage. We were 2 couples and a dog staying here and it was so comfortable. Lovely bedding, comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. Great quality kitchen with plenty of seating for dining and big comfy sofas in the living area. The garden was a great suntrap and was perfect for the dog as well. Great hosts and lovely welcome pack. We were made to feel very welcome. Can't recommend this property highly enough.

In a Class of Its Own: The Old Forge Cottage exceeded all our expectations for a short stay in Ross-on-Wye. Before we arrived, Zoe was a helpful mine of information and when we arrived.... wow! The pictures online don't come close to doing it justice. Spacious, soooo clean, really well located close to the town centre & the decor cleverly mixed modernity with maintaining the original features of the Old Forge. We had everything we needed (the welcome gift of local milk, coffee, biscuits, crisps & delicious coffee was super to get us started) and enjoyed a warm, comfortable night's sleep... All for a more than reasonable price. Thank you so much, Zoe.... we will be back!

Fantastic break away at Old Forge Cottage. The cottage was perfect. Plenty of space for us all. Finished to a very high standard. Everything available that you could wish for and all needs thought about and covered. Lovely welcome box on arrival. Zoe was great and available if we needed her. We’ve just got back from such a lovely stay and it’s the perfect place to have lots of family fun (it’s genuinely a home away from home)! The cottage is beautifully decorated, extremely clean, airy and very spacious. They have thought of EVERYTHING! Zoe is so welcoming and has fab communication to make everything flow before and throughout your stay. We loved our welcome pack with local goodies in! It is brilliant for kids as there is lots of room and it is also dog friendly 👏🏻 You are located a 2 minute walk from the local shops (some really cool antique ones too), restaurants, pubs and park on the river. It’s a fantastic location. Lots to explore around too: we went for a lovely walk up Symunds Yat Rock, a local farm shop and visited Goodrich Castle - All within 5-10 minute drive. Other places: the butterfly farm, canoeing, Tintern Abbey, maze, caves & more! Let me know any others below! The cottage: - 4 bedrooms - 2 bathrooms - 1 downstairs toilet - Open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area - A separate snug - A secure garden with seating - Allocated parking and permit - Dog friendly They have some availability in August for the summer holidays! Such a brilliant personal service from the moment of booking. Zoe decorated the cottage beautifully for Christmas. The furnishings and decorations are stylish and the exhibits of local art such a brilliant touch! We bought a painting! Zoe supports local producers too. The cottage had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean, the bed linen was crisp and the courtyard garden delightful. There’s a fast EV charger in the nearest car park. It’s a short walk to the river and also to the town centre shops. A great cottage that easily accommodated 3 couples.

We have stayed at many UK holiday cottages but there is no doubt that this is the BEST UK HOLIDAY COTTAGE we have ever stayed at. The cottage has been brilliantly refurbished, is spotlessly clean and has everything in it that you could possibly want – it is a real home from home!! It has a great courtyard garden and is situated just a couple of minutes walk from the shops, pubs and restaurants in the centre of Ross-on-Wye. Zoe is one of the few who really deserve the title ‘Superhost’ and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. Her work to showcase other local businesses and people was another great feature of the cottage. A superb place to stay.

Old Forge Cottage has been beautiful renovated to an extremely high standard where modern facilities perfectly compliment old features. This is one of the best holiday homes I have ever stayed in. The hosts, Zoe and Gareth, are so warm and helpful. You couldn’t ask for more! It is so close to the town centre that anyone can walk it. Our family stayed and felt instantly at home. We truly relaxed and rested. The local countryside is so picturesque and easy to travel to. I highly recommend this Cottage to everyone and I will be telling my friends and family that this is the place to stay. We loved it!!! ❤️ Thank you 😊

We booked Zoe’s cottage for a long awaited holiday for a group of four friends. The cottage was ideal for our needs being close to shops ,restaurants, and countryside for exploring and walks. We were able to have a large comfortable bedroom each with the added advantage of the cosy snug. The open plan living area and kitchen was great for cooking while chatting with plenty of space. The courtyard garden a bonus in warmer weather! Zoe was an excellent host, communication impressive and was available should we have had any problems or questions. Would highly recommend.
